November 27 marked 147 years since the execution of eight medical students by Spanish colonial forces, and the occasion of a march down San Lázaro St. by today’s youth – high school and university students, more from the Latin American School of Medicine, and members of the Young Communist League’s National leadership.
“I think this march is being held within a context that everyday requires that youth show this altruist spirit, this unity that our country so needs, this anti-imperialist fever,” said Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the Young Communists. (Taken from en.granma.cu)
