A few days before the UN General Assembly votes on October 31 for a new draft resolution to end the blockade, many denunciations have arisen inside and outside Cuba to demand the end of that Washington policy.
Since 1992, similar initiatives received a categorical endorsement, demonstrated in the last three years by 191 of the 193 member states of the multilateral body.
According to the annual report of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the damage caused by the blockade to Cuba, the losses between April 2017 and March 2018 are estimated at 4,321,200,000 dollars.
In addition, it said that the damages during almost 60 years amount to 93,000,000,678 dollars, taking into account the depreciation of the dollar against the value of gold in the international market. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
