The President of Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, today April 23, received Bolivian President Evo Morales Ayma, who is on an official visit to the country.
In statements to the press, Morales congratulated Cuba’s new head of state and said he was happy to accompany Diaz-Canel during the important era the nation is living.
He stressed that he came to plan with Díaz-Canel and develop an agenda to continue the legacy of Comadante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz, adding that commercial and integration agreements are being discussed.
After the military review ceremony traditionally part of high level visits, Díaz-Canel and Evo exchanged a handshake and embrace with their respective delegations, reaffirming the excellent state of bilateral relations and cooperation.
In addition to paying tribute to Cuba’s national hero José Martí in the capital’s Plaza de la Revolución, President Morales will visit the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center in Havana and offer a press conference. (ACN)
