Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Economy and Planning, received on Monday afternoon Professor Mokhtar Hasbellaoui, Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform of Algeria, and also Co-President of the Intergovernmental Commission for the Algerian side.
Professor Mokhtar Hasbellaoui heads the extensive official delegation that visits Cuba for the celebration of the XXI Session of the Intergovernmental Commission of economic, commercial, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Cuba and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. He was accompanied by the Ambassador to Cuba, Mr. Mhamed Achache.
The Algerian Minister expressed the will of his Government to continue developing and strengthening bilateral economic relations, with the realization of concrete actions in the sectors of health, biotechnology, water resources, sports, agriculture, basic education, higher education and the promotion of foreign trade and foreign investment, to be executed on the basis of the solid historical relations existing between both governments.
On the Cuban side were present Héctor Igarza Cabrera, Director of North Africa and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Rafael Jimeno López, Director of Africa and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
During his stay in Cuba, the visiting delegation also held meetings with Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Minister of Public Health. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
