Every 5 starts a new international activity against terrorism and in solidarity with the freedom of Gerardo Hernandez,
Ramon Labanino and Antonio Guerrero originally known as the Cuban Five –two of them are already released living in Cuba-, who are unjustly held in the United States (U.S.).
Among the many activities foreseen in support to this just cause, there was the monthly meeting of friends named “The 3 at 4 for the 5”, sponsored by the Organization in solidarity with the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL) together with the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) and the National Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC), at Villena Hall.
Ricardo Alarcon, Cuban intellectual, attended the meeting together with Fernando Gonzalez, vice president of ICAP and member of the Cuban Five already freed, Mirta Rodriguez, Antonio Guerrero’s mother, a representation of the diplomatic corps and a great quantity of friends demanding the return of the Cuban Heroes.
There was also the special attendance of father Michael Lapsley, vice president of the Council of Churches from South Africa and founder of the Association of Friendship between south Africa and Cuba, who has joined the fight to break the wall of silence created by the enemies in relation to this case. Lapsley, told those attending the meeting how little by little, first by Internet, he could know and get in touch with Gerardo, as well as his visits to the jail. The Father is a victim more of terrorism when in 1990; a bomb in a letter severed his both hands.
There were presentations of university students, videos, banners, photos, all with the purpose to join more people understand and, in solidarity, all together, demand the return of the Cuban antiterrorist fighters.
