The Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC)The CTC (Workers' Central Union of Cuba) was founded on January 28, 1939 by Lázaro Peña under the name Confederación de Trabajadores de Cuba (Confederation of Cuban Workers)) urges the trade union movement to take advantage of the platform created in the workplaces for the National Day of Safety and Health at Work in November, as the country recovers from the effects of the hydrometeorological phenomena.
The Secretary General of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC)The CTC (Workers' Central Union of Cuba) was founded on January 28, 1939 by Lázaro Peña under the name Confederación de Trabajadores de Cuba (Confederation of Cuban Workers), Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, pointed out that the idea is to take advantage of the guidelines and actions of the Workers’ Center and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to help eliminate the risks of accidents created.
The Politburo member pointed out that the Safety and Health Day supports the actions of the country’s leadership and the Civil Defense to achieve sanitation that prevents diseases, eliminates vectors and protects the environment.
He added that experienced technicians and union inspectors can be relied upon to help restore the workplaces.
