Cuban Stand inaugurated at French Trade Show

A stand promoting Cuba’s economic and cultural potential was inaugurated yesterday at the 35th Espace Collectivités professional trade show.
French Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Marcelino Medina, and Elio Rodríguez, the island’s ambassador in Paris, were present at the ceremony in the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Park on the outskirts of the capital.

Lemonye highlighted the bonds of friendship that unite the two countries and the coincidence in the defense of values such as dignity and sovereignty. He also ratified Paris’ decision not to yield to extraterritorial sanctions in its willingness to promote bilateral ties, referring to the US blockade policy and its pressures to isolate Cuba.

‘We reiterate our commitment to move forward together,’ he stressed. For his part, Ambassador Rodriguez mentioned Cuban willingness to strengthen relations at all levels with France, which already ranks among the island’s top 10 trading partners.

The leader of the French Communist Party, Jean-Charles Negre, also took part in the inauguration of Cuba’s stand at the Espace Collectivités, highlighting the island’s economic possibilities and its resistance to Washington’s hostility.

At the stand, the French Secretary of State was told about details of the Caribbean nation’s economy, investment opportunities and exportable products. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
