The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received this Thursday at Revolution Palace Ivan Mélnikov, first vice-president of the State Duma and of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who is visiting our country.
Granma newspaper reports that during the cordial meeting they discussed the excellent state of the historical relations that exist between the two governments and the people. In addition, they exchanged about several topics of the international agenda.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the deputy Dimitri G. Novikov, first vice-president of the International Relations Committee of the State Duma and coordinator of the Russia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as Andrei A. Guskov, ambassador to the Island.
On the Cuban side, Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, president of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People’s Power, participated. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
