The 27th International Book Fair, to take place in Cuba from February 1st to 11th, will have the participation of 40 countries and more than 400 foreign guests, said organizers yesterday.
There are 189 writers amid the 423 foreign guests confirmed and the Chinese delegation will have more than 220 people.
So far, 122 exhibitors from 22 countries will participate in the event, hosted by Fortaleza San Carlos de la Cabaña, a large cultural center and museum in this capital city.
Institutions from Peru, Spain and Panama will be represented by 62 foreign publishing houses.
According to organizers of the 27th International Book Fair, the event will also be hosted by 22 venues, due to its broad academic, artistic and literary program, which is impossible to hold in just one site.
A project for electronic literature has been also scheduled for the 27th International Book Fair.
The Children’s building will offer again works dedicated to the youngest people, who will be offered numerous options for learning and recreation.
Mario Cremata, director of Ediciones Bologna, said that three books by Eusebio Leal will be reprinted and a book with a collection of his speeches and lectures with the title ‘Cuba prendida del alma’ will be launched, as well as a book with remarks by nearly 100 Cuban and foreign important figures on Leal.
A collection of letters by Leal from 1970 to 2017 is also being prepared and will be available to readers throughout the year. (Taken from Prensa Latina)
