The first round to elect the delegates to the municipal People’s Power assemblies will be held on November 26.
A runoff will be held on December 3 in those districts where no candidate obtains more than 50 percent of the valid votes cast.
The CEN informed on November 2 about the conclusion of the first stage of the Cuban electoral process, which had an attendance of 78 percent.
According to the Commission, about 60,870 proposals were made, in which 27,221 candidates were nominated.
Of that total, 9,637 are women, representing 35.40 percent; while 5,307 are young people, equivalent to 19.49 percent.
