Cuban FM receives secretary general of the Association of Caribbean States

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, received in Havana the Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Dr. June Soomer.

Minister Rodriguez thanked ACS for the support and displays of affections given by its member countries on the passing of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, and reaffirmed Cuba´s commitment to continue fighting for solidarity and integration in the region.

He recalled the Cuban President Raul Castro´s words in the last ACS summit held in Havana, where he said Cuba will do anything in its power to strengthen and consolidate the bonds with the Caribbean.

Dr Soomer acknowledged Cuba´s contribution to the integration process the Caribbean is living despite the difficult times is going through, and thanked Minister Rodriguez for the support she has received from Cuba on her work as secretary general of the ACS. (Taken from ACN)
