Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, received Hoang Binh Quan, Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.
In a fraternal atmosphere, on Tuesday, the two parties ratified the interest to continue deepening the historic relations uniting the two parties, governments and peoples. In particular, comrade Hoang Binh Quan, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and head of its Committee of Foreign Affairs, spoke about the results of the recently held 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the economic and social objectives approved.
The Vietnamese leader was accompanied by Duong Minh, Ambassador to Havana, and by other Party officials.
Also participating in the meeting were Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, and Jose Ramon Balaguer, member of the Secretariat and head of its Department of International Relations. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
