The Vice-president of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas, received the governor of the state of Virginia, United States, Terry McAuliffe, who is on a working visit to Cuba.
During the meeting, held on Monday in this capital, they spoke about the process of updating of the Cuban economic model and opportunities for trade and investment offered by the Caribbean nation to foreign business persons.
They also talked about the obstacles derived from the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington for over half a century now, which prevent U.S. businessmen from taking advantage of such opportunities.
As part of the program of visits, the governor of Virginia was received on Monday morning by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.
Also, he chaired a business forum between entrepreneurs of Virginia and Cuba, and visited the University of Havana. (Taken from Cuban News Agency)
