Army General Raúl Castro Ruz received the Secretary General of the South African Communist Party, Blade Nzimande, on Monday afternoon as part of an official visit to the island.
During the friendly meeting, they exchanged views on the excellent state of the historical relations of brotherhood and cooperation between both parties and governments, as well as other issues on the international agenda.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Solomon Solly Mapailla, Politburo member and second secretary of the Communist Party of South Africa.
Participating on the Cuban side were Salvador Valdés Mesa, member of the Party Political Bureau and a vice president of the Council of State; and José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat and head of its Department of International Relations. (Taken from Granma)
