The nomination assemblies of candidates to be delegates of the People’s Power municipal assemblies — that will start on February 24, 2015 until March 25 – should be organized, with discipline, without interruption and with massive participation of all the electors.
The above information was reported to Trabajadores Newspaper by Tomas Amaran secretary of the National Electoral Commission (CEN) when he referred to this process in the base, an official event, solemn that is presided over by the authorities of the districts supported by the gross root organizations.
According to Amaran, the places to be used should have the require conditions, with the shield and the Cuban flag, and if possible, speakers in those big areas to address the population.
Likewise, he stressed the need to have all the organization elements to take into consideration, to carry out the meetings with quality.
There have been already established the 46, 344 nomination areas in the country, and according to the planning, in the first week (from February 24 to March 2) there will be held around 6, 659 assemblies, the 14, 36 percent of the scheduled ones.
Amaran noted that on February 24, in all the municipalities of the country (168) a pilot assembly was held, and the following day too in the popular councils.
He said that in the second week, the number of assemblies will increase to 16, 937 (40, 86 percent), in the third to 16, 659 (35, 94 percent) and in the fourth to 4, 089 (8, 82 percent) of all.
They have been working on the coordination on the base, so there have been trained the 12, 589 district electoral commissions, 1, 948 less than in 20112, a decrease that will help to a better job.
