The best films played in Cuba in 2014 were Conducta, by Ernesto Darana and Mienteme bien, Jackie Chang, by Adolfo Mena and Grethel Castillo according to the national selection by the members of the Cuban Association of the Cinematographic Press (ACPC).

The best documentary: La isla y los signos (The Island and the signs) by Raydel Araoz, and a mention to Molotov by Iran Hernandez and Humberto, by Carlos Barba; Cancion de Barrio, byAlejandro Ramirez Anderson, and Viaje al pais que ya no existe by Isabel Leal.

The best foreign films were: La gran belleza (Italian-French 2013) directed by Paolo Sorrentino; La vida de Adele (France, 2013) by Abdellatif Kechiche; 12 years of slavery (USA, 2013) by Steve McQueen; Blue Jasmine (USA, 2013 by Woody Allen; Filomena (UK-France-USA, 2013) by Stephen Frears; Gravity (USA, 2013) by Alfonso Cuaron; El pasado (France-Iran, 2013) by Asghar Farghadi; Budapest Grand Hotel (USA, 2013) by Wes Anderson and Nebraska (USA, 2013) by Alexander Payne.
