This was expressed by Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, general secretary of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) who also said that in these three months, together with the priority tasks for the implementation of the Labor Code, it is also important to support this democratic exercise that is also responsibility of the workers that are affiliated, together with their families, to the People’s Power in the neighborhoods and communities of Cuba.
That is why it is a task of the CTC, to urge the participation and support of the CTC members in the current process of rendering of accounts.
The goal of the CTC is that during this process that will last until December 2014, the meeting should be published in the unions’ meetings every month, in the morning and afternoon meetings and in the rest of the activities.
The call highlights the important of the active participation of the workers in those meetings with their open, clear and objective contributions to the problems of the community.
Unions’ affiliates as also members of the People’s Power should contribute with their opinions in the communities’ debates with proposals to the solutions of the problems.
He also calls the unions on the base to demand from the administrations in the workplaces, to pay attention to the requests of the workers and try to respond or give a solution to the opinions linked to the staff of workers.
