October 1st is the International Day for Elderly People and the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) and its unions send warm congratulations to all elderly people in Cuba.
The progressive aging of the population is a challenge. In all branches of society there are studies of strategies to face it and contribute to reach an active and satisfactory longevity.
For the unionist movement these people are important to keep on contributing with the valuable experiences, knowledge, to help teach love for work, responsibility and discipline in the workplaces nowadays, mainly in young people that start their labor life.
Among the Goals of Work from the XX Congress of the CTC there is to systematize the teaching of History and preserve the historical patrimony to contribute reinforce the sense of belonging to the different branches of society. In this determination, it is essential the participation of the most experienced workers and mainly the retired activists, affiliated to the unions in the entities.
When you were young, you fought and built the society you enjoy today, and you keep on working together with the people, to make it more prosperous and sustainable.
